Postdoctoral Research Associate in Computer Simulation of interfacially adsorbed antibody molecules

 

The Department of Chemistry at Imperial College London is looking to employ a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work in the research project “Computer Simulation of interfacially adsorbed antibody molecules”. This research is part of a collaboration with the Department of Physics at the University of Manchester and Astra Zeneca.

 

This post will focus on the investigation of interaction of antibody molecules with surfaces of different compositions, including polymers and inorganic surfaces. The successful candidate will implement models of antibodies and surfaces and use these in molecular dynamics computer simulations to investigate conformational changes in the biomolecules. Further, the simulations will be used to support neutron reflectivity experiments and will be expected to contribute to the development of software for the neutron reflectivity characterization of antibodies at liquid and solid interfaces.
