Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Biomolecular Simulation and Protein Design

An integrated computational-experimental method to redesign protein dynamics

The Institute of Environment, Health and Societies.  Department of Synthetic Biology - Brunel University London, in collaboration with Queen Mary University of London.

Full time.  Salary (Grade R1): £32,548 to £34,520 per annum, plus £2,166 London Allowance per annum

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to work in the research group of Dr. Alessandro Pandini at Brunel University London. This appointment is funded by the Leverhulme Trust for 24 months. The research project is in collaboration with Dr James Garnett at Queen Mary University London (QMUL).

The appointee will develop, test and apply novel computational approaches to rationally redesign protein dynamics. The work will involve design and implementation of a novel code, preparation and execution of large scale molecular simulations, analysis of results and integration with experimental data generated at QMUL.

Previous experience in biomolecular simulations and scientific programming is essential. Knowledge of high performance computing environments and/or data analysis in R is desirable.
